Hotel romance is a program with many appreciated characters. Several strong personalities converging on the same surface can easily lead to conflict, and there are many who are curious if the production ever had to tell any of the participants. News24 have talked to Sven-Erik Sjögren72, which reveals what happened during the shoot.

Sven-Erik: “They are jealous”
Sven-Erik is the participant who has so far shocked the most during season two of Hotel romance. His explosive personality and jokes about hot pills have not always been well received by the other contestants. It is therefore easy to believe that Sven-Erik received some assurance from the production, but he himself says that is not true.
Sven-Erik says that there are indeed participants who were skeptical of his humor, but others thought he was funny.
– When I came strutting into the hotel, probably 80 percent thought I was ridiculous and that’s thanks to the fact that they’re jealous. Then there were 20 percent who laughed and thought I was damn funny.
Sven-Erik also felt that the production always encouraged him to be himself.
– One of the producers came up to me and said “what, you are Sven-Erik Sjögren, you are who you are. You are yourself. Just drive”.

There were, however, several moments when the production was lacking for the participants as a group. Sven-Erik tells us that much of television production is arranged, and it can easily clash with people’s own will.
– When you have to go here or there, when you have to stand in front of the camera. Everything like that is a bit arranged. We were a bit like a school class whose jaws dropped. Production said, they had to ask people to be quiet. That’s how it was all along, says Sven-Erik and continues:
– But those are trifles. We are adults who will push our way through a door together. It is clear that there is always someone who spins it or does not listen. It is part of the rules of the game.
