(Finance) – The theme of subcontracts remains at the center of the political scene and of the debate between the majority and the opposition with a back and forth between Alessandro Cattaneo (FI) and the x Minister of Labour Andrea Cattaneo (PD). “The observations of fellow PD MP Andrea Orlando on the procurement code are surprising”, replies Alessandro Cattaneo, Forza Italia MP and head of party departments in a note, recalling that “according to Orlando, who is also a former Minister of Labour, one of the problems that emerge from the Suviana tragedy is the use of contracts and subcontracts”.
“It at least makes you smile that the former minister complains: why didn’t he work to change the procurement code when he was in government? We remember well that it was precisely in the period in which the subcontract was sent” – remarks Cattaneo – From the vision of the video that he posted on social media, a second question then arises spontaneously: is contracting out to specialized companies like ABB, which has 50 thousand employees, or Siemens which has 90 thousand, a mistake? Or can it even be considered a crime? And for what reason? Subcontracting to a controlled and limited extent they make our small and medium businesses workwhich represent 90% of the Italian productive fabric”.
“Maybe it’s because Orlando, as a good exponent of a too ideological leftwould only like the State, without the free market, businesses, development”, concludes the FI deputy.
