Sustainable tourism, Italy is the “gold medal” for the largest number of virtuous parks

Sustainable tourism Italy is the gold medal for the largest

(Finance) – Dal Gran Paradiso National Park to that of Cilento Vallo di Diano And Sapwoodsfrom the Sirent Veil to that of Gargano. Based on the evaluations of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourismconsidering the countries with the most virtuous parks in Europe, the gold medal is undoubtedly won by theItalywhich currently boasts 45 protected areas.

A great satisfaction, given that the objective of the Cets – recently assigned to Brussels by Europarc Federation and supported in Italy by Federparchi – is mainly to gratify and encourage sustainable tourism, focusing on ad hoc activities and on the creation of profitable collaborations between interested parties, so as to promote the protection of biodiversity. A concept which underlines, once again, the importance of cooperation in trying to make our planet ever more “green”.

Thought, carried forward with pride also by EU ECO-TANDEM Programmea project co-financed by the European Union through the COSME programme, which aims to promote sustainable development in the tourism sector, facilitating the creation of synergies between SMEs, startups and innovators in the sector.

As Europarc Federation verifies and certifies protected areas and Cets provides guidelines for environmentally friendly tourism, so EU ECO-TANDEM Program – coordinated by X23 Srl and implemented by a pool of European partners, among which Enit And Social To do in Italy; Italian Chamber of Commerce in Germany and Leipzig School of Management in Germany; University of Graz in Austria; Green Evolution in Greece and the Slovak Business Agency – aims at the creation of collaborations “tight”, intense and purposeful, in tandem (hence the name of the program), to undertake an ecological transition together.

Fundamental, in the latter case, the activity of the “HLAB extension” or of the High Level Advisory Board members, engaged in the evaluation rounds. The hope is that many new ideas can take shape, to be launched, thus contributing to the green transformation of the sector.
