(Finance) – Enel Insurance (EINV), the captive reinsurance company of Enel Group, got today the status of company signatory of the Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI) which, since their launch in 2012 at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio + 20), represent the most significant collaboration initiative between the United Nations and the insurance sector.
“EINV – Enel explains in a note – is the first captive insurance to join the PSI developed by the United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) thanks to the consolidated experience of EINV in terms of sustainability, to its insurance program linked to sustainability criteria, among the first in the world of this type, to the nature of its investments continuously redirected to address environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues and AON’s facilitating role. ”
THE PSI constitute a global reference framework for the insurance sector, in terms of risks and opportunities, in the ESG field.
