(Finance) – Intesa Sanpaolo And Idealservice have finalized a financing operation aimed at the sustainable growth of the company founded in Udine in 1953 as a cleaning company and today one of the national reference companies in the sector of environmental services, waste sorting plants and facility management. The loan from Intesa Sanpaolo, equal to 12 million euros, – the bank said in a note – is intended for the company’s development plan through new acquisitions and investments. This operation also provides ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) improvement objectives, in particular, new hires dedicated to female employees and the introduction of policies to promote gender equality in the company.

In detail the Idealservice cooperative company, based in Pasian di Prato (UD), which in 2021 achieved a turnover of 147 million euros, a profit of 4.5 million and which has 3,719 employees throughout Italy, has approved a strategic development and growth project, which it will allow the cooperative to reorganize and strengthen its business, also extending it to the renewable energy sector and energy efficiency.

With the aim of promoting the development of a sustainable economy, favoring the development of this culture in particular in small and medium-sized enterprises, Intesa Sanpaolo has launched a new medium-long term financing instrument called s-Loan specifically designed – explains the note – to accompany the efforts of companies in the direction of greater sustainability from an environmental, social and corporate governance profile, enhancing dedicated investments thanks also to the identification of shared ESG performance indicators. S-Loan supports the medium / long-term needs of SMEs and Mid Caps, with dedicated facilitated conditions, thanks to the rate reductions that will be recognized upon achievement of the improvement objectives in the ESG field. For each year in which the commitment will be respected, a discount will be granted on the loan in order to reward the results achieved.

“We strongly wanted – he specifies Marco Riboli, president of Idealservice – that the company, also thanks to its social and ethical connotation and its deep-rooted presence in the territory, should also be structured to become a real national reference point for what concerns the ecological transition. This is part of a structured growth plan which, thanks also to the partnership with Intesa Sanpaolo, aims to reach 200 million euros over the next three years, strengthening our core activities (facility management, environmental services and waste selection plants) and consolidating our growth also for external lines “.

“The ability of companies to understand and govern their impact in environmental, governance and social terms is central to projecting them into an increasingly competitive market also on the issue of sustainability – he stressed. Francesca Nieddu, Veneto East and Friuli Venezia Giulia Intesa Sanpaolo regional director -. Supporting companies that, like Idealservice, focus on sustainable growth and ESG criteria is for us a satisfaction but also a responsibility, which allows us to be an active part in the creation of collective value “.
