With sales in addition 80 countries and a budget of 6.7 million eurosSproutWorld has become today a global company, a dimension that not even the founder himself had foreseen eight years ago. Not surprisingly, the company – which obtained the B Corp certification – and its plantable pencils and eyeliners are being talked about with increasing curiosity and interest, for the positive impacts on the environment. A success that was born in Denmark – after the purchase of the patent – but that soon, with his “green” message, reaches Italy which represents the largest reference market, data confirmed by the growth of 113% of sales on Amazon Italy last year. Encouraging numbers also in USA, Germany and France.
“It is no longer just about buying the cheapest thing to give to customers or employees. An Italian company today is much more concerned about their corporate imagebased on values such as respect and protection of the environment. He wants to take care of the planet, even when it comes to gadgets and merchandising. Something that can never be achieved with traditional promotional products like the typical plastic pen, thumb drive or key ring”; says Michael Stausholm.
Which adds: “The cosmetics industry needs a boost to produce more sustainable and sustainably made products, as it still creates a lot of plastic and unnecessary waste that harms the environment. We want to demonstrate, with our plantable makeup, that it is possible to design high-quality natural products that have a second life after use and actually give something positive back to the planet”.
