During the fire, thick, black clouds of smoke could be seen in the surrounding area. Several explosions were also heard. These may have been gas cylinders that exploded, a spokesperson for the Utrecht Security Region (VRU) said. One person suffered smoke inhalation from the fire and was checked by paramedics. As far as is known, no one was injured.
