A suspicious shooting has occurred in the Norrliden district in Kalmar.

At 3:46 p.m., the police received a call about a person with a weapon-like object in the area. Soon after that, there were also reports of loud explosions.

What is believed to be a bullet hole has been found in a window of an apartment in an apartment building at the site.

The police are on the scene with a large resource and have cordoned off the area. The area is also searched with drones.

– We are working on trying to clarify what has happened, says police spokesperson Rickard Lundqvist to TT.

It is unknown if anyone is injured.

– No one has been found injured so far, but I still have to express it as unknown because you can get to hospital on your own, says Rickard Lundqvist.

No one has been arrested in the case.

On Monday evening, a 23-year-old man was found with stab or cut injuries outside in a residential area in Norrliden. The man died from his injuries.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of murder. It is unclear if there is any connection between the two incidents.
