The police received an alert about a person with suspected gunshot wounds in a basement in a residential building in Hovsjö, Södertälje on 01.13. The person, who is injured but awake and able to speak, had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. The person must not have life-threatening injuries. The police believe that it was in the basement that the crime took place.
The police are now checking several people in the area, but have not detained anyone. A preliminary investigation into attempted murder has been launched.
Recently, there have been several shootings in Södertälje and the police have received national reinforcements.
