    Four people have been arrested after a suspected serious crime at an address in Uppsala on Saturday evening.

    Three cats have fallen ill and died of cat plague in Kävlinge, reports P4 Malmö house.

    Feline distemper is a virus that is transmitted via faeces and can be active for up to a year.

  • Woman attacked man on a date in Strömstad – “Otherwise went well”

    A date in Strömstad took an unexpected turn towards the wee hours, on the night of Sunday.

    A woman hit the man she met and is now suspected of assault.

    He suffered no lasting effects and stated to the police that the date otherwise “went well”.

    After that, the woman was given a ride by a police patrol to the Norwegian border as she is a Norwegian citizen.

  • Taxi in collision with wild boar – three to hospital

    Several have been injured after a taxi collided with a wild boar outside Enköping. This is what the police write on their website.

    A total of five people were traveling in the car, three of them had to be taken to hospital by ambulance.

  • Drones from Yemen struck Israel

    Aircraft alarms sounded during the morning over Tel Aviv and central Israel.

    According to the Israeli military, a drone fired from Yemen crashed in an unpopulated area, reports Reuters.

    There are no reports of anyone being injured.

    In July, one man was killed and four others were injured when the Iran-backed Houthi movement fired a long-range drone at Tel Aviv.

    That led to Israel responding with a massive airstrike against military targets in the city of al-Hudaydah where three people died and 87 were injured.

  • Apartment hotel in flames: “Will have to burn down”

    A three-story apartment hotel in Skellefteå has caught fire and residents have had to evacuate.

    – The whole building will have to burn down. Between 15 and 20 people have had to evacuate. The apartments must be empty, says Sebastian Benitez, alarm and line operator at the rescue service.

    One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance. The extent of the damage is unclear.

    – We have an exactly the same building that is close by, so we are working to prevent the fire from spreading there, says Sebastian Benitez.

    Around 15 units from the rescue service are on site.

    Mikael Granström runs the apartment hotel which houses guest workers from various companies in the city, including the battery giant Northvolt.

    – At first I thought it was a hunter who needed help with an injured moose when they called. Now I have to digest this before I can say anything, says Granström.

  • Car drove into the water in Arvidsjaur

    During the night of Sunday, a car drove off a bridge on the E45 in Arvidsjaur and continued into the water.

    – It has stood with its rear end down in a river. We have been there to check for any leakage. Rescuers have been ordered to retrieve the car, says Ida Mikkonen, emergency line operator at the rescue service to Aftonbladet.

    A man has left the scene in an ambulance, writes Piteå Newspaper.

    The extent of the injury is unknown.

    According to the police, the car did not end up far down in the water.

  • A woman was taken to the room – was robbed

    A 35-year-old man was robbed in his hotel room in Östermalm during the night towards Sunday.

    The police state in a news release that he “was visited by a woman unknown to him” when two strange men entered the room and robbed him of various belongings.

    – They have met somewhere and then they would hang out in the hotel room. We suspect that the woman has worked in collusion with the two robbers, says Daniel Wikdahl at the police’s regional command center.

    The man was beaten during the robbery and then sought help at the hotel’s reception. He is not seriously injured.

    The woman and the two men disappeared and were searched for during the night by the police.

    – We have a certain description and are looking for surveillance cameras, among other things, says Daniel Wikdahl.

  • Attempted murder – man to hospital

    A man in his 40s was taken to hospital by ambulance after a knife cut outdoors in Härnösand on Saturday evening.

    The police were alerted at 10:18 p.m. and were later able to arrest two men in their 30s. One is suspected of attempted murder and the other of aiding and abetting the same crime.

    The stabbed man was awake and talking when he went to the hospital.

    On Sunday morning, the police announced that the two arrested men had been arrested.

  • Girl hit at a pedestrian crossing – seriously injured

    A teenage girl was hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing in Huddinge during the night towards Sunday.

    The police and ambulance helicopter were called a few minutes before midnight.

    – The pedestrian is really badly injured, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson at the police’s regional command center.

  • One arrested – walked around with a machete

    The police have been alerted about a person walking around with a machete in Kinna, outside Borås.

    The alarm came in at 10:30 p.m.

    – We received an alarm about a drunk person who was threatening. We have secured it now, says Martin Hallberg, officer on duty at the police in the West region.

    The arrested person is suspected of crimes against the Knife Act, drug crimes and threats to officials.

    Residents in the area are now being asked to leave their homes.

    – The situation is becoming dramatic, says mayor Renata Surma WP.

    2,000 troops have been deployed to deal with the chaos that may await.

    – The worst is yet to come, says Surma.

    According to the mayor, more water is expected than the disaster in 1997 in the Odra and Vistula where 54 people died.

  • Details: Violent crime on Lidingö

    A police operation is currently underway on Lidingö outside Stockholm.

    According to information to Aftonbladet, it is a violent crime in a building.

    The victim is supposed to be a man, according to sources.

    Witnesses in the area state that there is a large effort at the site.

    – There are a lot of police officers on site and there will only be more, says a resident in the area.

  • Problems with several banks

    Customers receive an error message in the app.

    Right now, several customers are having problems logging in to Swedbank and using the bank’s services.

    Earlier on Saturday evening, customers at SEB also had problems logging in.

  • Swinging ax at pub – chased by police

    A man has taken out an ax and swung it around in a pub on Östermalm in Stockholm.

    He then fled the scene.

    – He gaped and screamed. No one is injured. We are still there to locate this perpetrator, says police spokesperson Nadya Norton.

    The police have started a preliminary investigation into serious illegal threats.
