On Wednesday evening, the police received an alert about a suspected rape of a 15-year-old girl in Malmö.
Moments later, a 21-year-old man was arrested.
The alarm came in at 19.30 about a suspected rape in a toilet in the Emporia mall in the Hyllie district in Malmö.
The girl was taken to hospital by ambulance for a check-up.
In the mall, the police received information that a suspected perpetrator had left the scene.
A moment later, a 21-year-old man was arrested at the central station in Malmö, suspected of rape. He has been arrested by prosecutors this morning.
The crime scene was cordoned off and examined by forensics.
