The International Football Federation (FIFA) suspended Jean-Bart for life in 2020 after suspicions that he sexually harassed and assaulted female players, including minors, over several years.

Cas writes in the judgment that it has noted “inconsistent statements and inaccuracies” from the suspected victims and from witnesses. It is further written that the information provided by the human rights organization Human Rights Watch and the international players’ union Fifpro is not sufficient as evidence.

“The evidence against Yves Jean-Bart regarding the allegations of sexual abuse is inconsistent, unclear and contradictory. Therefore, it is not sufficient to establish that he has committed a crime,” the Cas judgment says.

Yves Jean-Bart was the supreme director of Haitian football between 2000 and 2020, when he was suspended.

The 75-year-old has denied all accusations.
