Suspected of having been poisoned with vinegar in Eslöv – the 7-year-old in question: “They don’t want me to get away”

On several occasions, the girl tells the investigators that she does not want to talk about what happened to her. Repeatedly that she does not want to return to her parents. Nor should she have asked for her parents when she was acutely ill in hospital, which is otherwise common for children to do, according to interviews with the healthcare staff.

See examples of what the girl herself has told in the clip above.

Shielded and ostracized

The investigation shows a picture of the girl being pushed out from the rest of the family for several years. She was also shielded from the outside world in several ways. Among other things, she has missed large parts of preschool and has only been in preschool class for four days.

The girl has also been absent from medical and dental appointments. This is something the prosecutor sees as remarkable as the parents claimed that the girl has a brain injury since birth and that she therefore develops slowly. The parents have explained that this is why the girl has not been to school and was wearing a diaper. This is also their explanation for the injuries to the body, as they state that she has a self-harming behaviour.

The investigators: Brain damaged made up

But there are no official statements that she would have a brain injury, according to the criminal investigation. Nor should anything unusual have been noticed when the girl talks and interacts with healthcare staff.

Denies crime

The parents are suspected of several crimes, such as extremely serious assault, illegal deprivation of liberty and serious breach of peace. They themselves have consistently denied any wrongdoing.
