At 8:57 p.m., the police were called to an apartment on Möllevången after paramedics found a dead woman, something that South Sweden was the first to report.
According to the police, there were unclear circumstances surrounding the incident and they therefore made the assessment that the apartment should be cordoned off for a forensic examination. In addition to the woman, there was a 55-year-old man in the apartment who was arrested on suspicion of murder later in the night.
Relatives have been notified, according to the police.
Interview neighbors and residents nearby
Police remained on site during Tuesday morning and the apartment was then still cordoned off.
– What is happening now is that we will continue to hold interviews with both residents nearby and other neighbors as well, says Fredrik Bratt, the police’s press officer.
