The man is charged with terrorist offenses after returning to the UK, the police announced.
“A 38-year-old man has been formally charged with various terrorist offenses following an investigation by the London Police Counter-Terrorism Squad,” the police wrote in a statement.
Just hours before the announcement, there were reports that the man had been arrested after landing at London Luton Airport, where he had arrived from Turkey, where he had been imprisoned for terror offences.
