On Friday morning, the police were alerted to an address in Viksjö in Järfälla, northwest of Stockholm. This after a suspected dangerous object was found in a residence.
In connection with the operation, eight adjacent homes were evacuated and the police bomb technician took care of the object, the police write on their website.
According to information to TV4 Nyheterna, the dangerous object is a suspected hand grenade.
The address is linked to a 20-year-old who has been charged, suspected of murdering the mother of gang boss Ismail “Jordgubben” Abdo, according to information from TV4 Nyheterna.
The police do not want to comment on the information with reference to preliminary investigation confidentiality. But states that a preliminary investigation has been initiated regarding serious crimes involving flammable and explosive goods and attempted murder.
It was September 6 last year that the mother, a 58-year-old woman, was shot to death in Uppsala. The murder took place after Ismail Abdo got into a conflict with Foxtrot leader Rawa “Kurdish Fox” Majid.
A 15-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man are suspected of having murdered Ismail Abdo’s mother in Uppsala. A total of five people are charged on suspicion of involvement in the murder.
