The place is cordoned off and residents in the vicinity of the dangerous object have been evacuated, the police write on their website. The alarm came at 09:10.
“We are on site with an extensive resource package,” says Boss Florell at the rescue service.
The national bomb disposal unit must have been called to the scene, according to P4 Gothenburg.
During Friday, suspected dangerous objects were also found at two locations in Gothenburg. The national bomb defense neutralized both – at least one of which is believed to have been sharp.
One of the objects was found indoors in the entrance to a property in Frölunda at lunchtime. It is unclear whether it was sharp or not, but according to the police there are many indications that it was.
Earlier in the morning, an object was also found outside a property in Hovås. The item was deemed dangerous, and by 10 a.m. the National Bomb Squad had neutralized it.
The police suspect that the two incidents are connected. According to Göteborgs-Posten, they are suspected of having a connection to the gang conflicts in Frölunda.
