The police have blocked off a place at the police station in Sundsvall after a suspicious object has been handed in by private individuals.
The item is said to have been found in a garbage room on Monday evening.
– We do not know what it is yet, therefore it is being handled as a suspected dangerous object, says Elisabeth Glaas, press spokesperson at the police.
An assessment of the object must be made by the police bomb technician.
– If you suspect that something is dangerous, it is better to be careful and maybe take a picture and send it to the police, says Elisabeth Glaas.
There is currently no criminal suspicion.

A man has been found injured in Kungsmarken in Karlskrona.
According to initial information, the man must have been injured with a sharp knife. He is taken to hospital. There is no information on the state of the damage.
The place is cordoned off and police.
The incident is classified as attempted murder.
No one is arrested.
A girl in her early teens has been hit by a car in Ljungby.
The pocket has been taken to hospital. The extent of the damage is unclear.
The incident is being investigated by the police, who have filed a report of causing bodily harm.
A person has been found injured outdoors in Söderhamn.
The police are on the scene and are investigating what happened.

Earlier on Monday, a passenger train collided with a trailer that had detached from a tractor in Köping. Several of the 208 people on board were then said to be injured.

At 2:39 p.m., the police were alerted to an incident on the subway’s green line in Stockholm.
– It started on the subway heading west where we were alerted that a woman attacked a man with scissors and injured him, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl.
The woman is said to be in her 35s and the man in his 50s. It is unclear if they were known to each other beforehand.
– At Blackeberg, both seem to have stepped down. We have arrested the woman there, says Daniel Wikdahl.
An ambulance has been called to Blackeberg, but it is unclear whether the man needed treatment.
– We classify this as assault and the man in question is not suspected of any crime.
