Kristoffer’s son was best friends with one of the dead children in Södertälje.
Now the father tries to do what he can to answer his son’s many questions.
– The whole thing feels completely unthinkable, he says to TV4 Nyheterna.
A boy and a girl under the age of ten are suspected of having been murdered in Södertälje on Tuesday evening. The children’s parents, a man and a woman, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
In Södertälje, the situation is worried.
Outside the family’s home, several parents and children have gathered to lay flowers on the front porch.
– It was my son’s best friend, one of the children who has died. We also knew the parents, not very well, but we have met them a few times, says Kristoffer Sidestam.
“Absolutely unthinkable”
He says that the children have received good information at school and that a crisis group has been set up, but that there are still many questions.
– It is tragic, small innocent children have passed away. You don’t understand why it has to happen, says Kristoffer.
Now he tries to be there for his son, while trying to understand how something like this could have happened.
