The police were alerted at 4pm on Saturday that a person had been attacked with some kind of stabbing weapon indoors.
– Everything points to a knife being used, says police spokesperson Carina Skagerlind.
The injured person was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter. The injury situation is considered to be stable.
The police arrested the suspect in the immediate area
– We quickly searched central parts of Skärholmen. Then we checked a number of people and one of them has now been arrested, says Carina Skagerlind.
She says it is an elderly man, but does not want to say how old he is or if he has a connection to the nursing home.
The crime scene is cordoned off for a technical investigation.
