It was just after 10 p.m. that the alarm came to the police. The incident is classified as attempted murder and an area has been cordoned off.
The injured person was taken to hospital and, according to the police, is seriously injured.
The police urge anyone who has seen or heard anything unusual in the area during the evening to call 11414.
No suspect has yet been arrested.
