Several alarms about an incident in Öxnehaga were received at 9.45pm by the police.
– We receive a number of alarms about an ongoing serious violent crime, says Mats Pettersson, press spokesperson at the police.
At the scene, the police found an injured man in his 40s. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
– He is found outdoors on the ground with injuries that mean that the legal situation is currently attempted murder, says Mats Pettersson.
A major police operation is now underway in the area. The police are working with information gathering and looking for one or more suspected perpetrators.
– No one has been arrested or detained at the moment. There is also no named suspect, says Mats Pettersson at 10.45pm on Monday evening.
The crime scene is now cordoned off for technical examination and securing of any traces.
