Shortly before midnight, the police were alerted to a seriously injured man outside in Hedemora.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance, but the injuries are unclear.
– He was breathing when we found him, but it is difficult to say how serious his injuries are, Jan Matern, officer on duty at the Bergslagen police region, told TT.

What happened is still unclear, but early on the police stated that they suspect a serious crime.
The place where the man was found was cordoned off and remains cordoned off pending a technical examination.
“Seizure of an object suspected of being the one that injured the man was also at the scene and it will be investigated according to special routine,” the police write on their website.
No one has yet been arrested.
