Sarnia police have issued a warrant for a suspect in connection with a stabbing Thursday in the city.

Police were called out at 5:30 p.m. Thursday to a disturbance reported at a home on Nelson Street.

“Officers learned that during an altercation” a victim was stabbed “causing non-life-threatening injuries,” Sarnia police said in a news release.
Tesha Oliver, 30, is wanted on charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply with a probation order.
Police, who released a photo of Oliver, said she has a distinctive tattoo above her right eye with the word “vivacious.”
Anyone who has seen Oliver, or knows of her whereabouts, has been asked to contact the Sarnia Police Service at 519-344-8861, and anyone with information about Thursday’s incident is asked to contact the service’s Criminal Investigations Division at ext. 5300.

The incident on Nelson Street comes after a stabbing Monday in Rainbow Park near downtown.
In that case, a 33-year-old Sarnia man was arrested and charged with attempted murder and failing to comply with a probation order.
The injured man in that incident was expected to recover, according to police.
On March 23, a 24-year-old Sarnia man was charged following a stabbing at the River City Vineyard homeless shelter. A 51-year-old man who police said had been stabbed multiple times was taken to hospital with injuries that were said to not be life-threatening.
