A man ran into traffic on Exmouth Street Sunday afternoon trying to flee arrest, but no one was injured, Sarnia police say.

Residents in the area of Exmouth Street and Trillium Park reported a man in their backyards behaving erratically around 2:30 pm
Police located a suspect whom they identified as being wanted in London on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with a release order, but he ran into traffic when they attempted to arrest him.
Citizens helped stop traffic on Exmouth Street while officers were dealing with the suspect.
Officers took hold of the man who attempted to break free and was taken to the ground where he “persisted in his combativeness,” police said.
The man was eventually taken into custody and no officers were injured.
David Kaczmarek, 39, of Sarnia has been charged with resisting arrest and two counts of breaching probation.

Vehicle stolen in Corunna
A vehicle was reported stolen last week from an address on Lexington Boulevard in Corunna, says Lambton OPP.
Someone entered the property in the St. Clair Township community Jan. 9 just after 10 pm and made off with a 2021 blue Mitsubishi RVR from the laneway. Police were notified Jan. 10 about 7 a.m.
Anyone with information about the missing vehicle is being asked to call Lambton OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
