A man who was suspected of an attempted murder in Linköping has been found dead in his home.
It was on Tuesday that a 21-year-old woman was subjected to attempted murder through extensive knife violence in the Skäggetorp district in Linköping. She was familiar with the perpetrator. The woman’s five-year-old daughter was at the crime scene but ran away. The knife attack was interrupted by two young men. The woman was seriously injured, but her condition is now stable.
The suspected perpetrator, a 38-year-old man, was found dead in his home in Linköping on Wednesday.
“The preliminary investigation into the attempted murder continues to ensure that the right perpetrator has been identified. There is no active criminal suspicion regarding the suspect’s death,” prosecutor Helene Gestrin writes in a press release.
