Suspect for the Pentagon leak is charged
The suspected spy Jack Teixeira, who is suspected of being behind the so-called Pentagon leak, has been charged in the United States, the Department of Justice announces.
Teixeira was arrested in April and is suspected of leaking hundreds of classified documents and information he had access to in his job with the Massachusetts National Guard.
The federal indictment includes six counts.
The 21-year-old is suspected of having spread the information – which, among other things, consisted of intelligence about Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine – online.
