The International Basketball Federation FIBA ​​announced the host countries of the 2025 European Championships and Finland is one of the four starting blocks of the competition.

In addition to Finland, the first blocks of the 2025 European Championships were awarded to Latvia and Cyprus. The playoffs were played in Latvia. The Games will be played in August-September 2025.

The games of the European Championship Group played in Helsinki in 2017 were watched on the spot by 88,000 spectators.

The 2022 European Championships will be held in Georgia, Italy, Germany and the Czech Republic. Susijengi, who made his way to the competition through the qualifiers, will play his starting block in Prague, Czech Republic from 2 to 8 September 2022.
