RNK Flyers celebrates Ringete SM gold. Raisiolaiseura, who won the regular season, defeated NoU Ringete from Nokia in the decisive match with 8–4 goals and won the final match series with 3–0 victories.

The championship is RNK’s first since 2017. NoU Ringette was the defending champion.

The star player of the team Susanna Tapani collected as many as 5+2 powers from the match. Anne Pohjola scored one goal and collected six assists.

– Today I happened to get those places. Luckily I went in. Yes, there are always places for someone on our field, so you have to take advantage of them. It’s an incredible game, says Tapani.

Tapani, who is also known as a national team hockey player, decided to invest only in the ringette this season. He broke the limit of 300 SC series matches played in the final series. According to Tapani, the investment paid off.

– I have enjoyed every single day that I have been able to spend with this team. Summer workouts and all. It’s much easier mentally when you can actually be with one team. Team spirit, when everyone is there, that’s a really big deal in this sport.

Tapan will not be seen at the Women’s Ice Hockey World Cup starting next week.
