It was last month that Susan Hodgson received an unpleasant surprise when she returned home from her vacation in Atlanta, USA. A neighbor had called her to ask if she had decided to demolish the house.
– I said no, and she replied “well, there is someone here who has just demolished the whole house”, says Susan Hodgson in an interview with the news agency AP.
Construction worker’s words: “Ouch!”
After the conversation, the neighbor approached the construction workers who had demolished the house. A family member of Susan Hodgson was also sent to the scene. When one of the company’s employees double-checked his papers, he discovered that there had been a mistake.
– Oops, I’m at the wrong address, said the construction worker according to Susan Hodgson.
The company must have quickly left the scene.
She says that the incident has been reported to the police and that lawyers have been involved in the case.
– We are still in the process of figuring out what to do, says Susan Hodgson.
“Is this a joke?”
She also states that the incident has shaken her life.
– I am furious. I keep waking up thinking “is this a joke?”, I’m just in shock.
Fox local television station have been in contact with the company who state that they are investigating the cause of the mistake.
