Survival hit finally appears in version 1.0 and the number of players is exploding

V-Rising has been a huge hit in the survival community since its early access release in 2022. Now the game has finally left Early Access and that is causing a huge rush of players on Steam.

What is V Rising?

  • The game mixes classic survival mechanics with RPG elements
  • You play a vampire who wants to build his kingdom
  • In addition to classic weapons, there are many vampire abilities that can be used for fighting and movement

    • V-Rising’s early access began on May 17, 2022 and was already a huge success back then. The game reached an all-time peak of 150,645 players at the time, according to SteamDB. On May 8th, 2024, the 1.0 version was released on Steam and caused a large increase in players again.

    Solo players are also enthusiastic

    Before the release, the number of players last week was between 1900 and 5500. Since May 8th, 2024, the release of 1.0, the number of players has exploded again. Although the all-time peak from the early access release has not yet been reached, the peak in the last 24 hours was 78,164 players.

    The latest gaming boom is also being celebrated on Reddit. Many players also praise the solo experience in the comments and some of the new features of the 1.0 release.

  • smuttyjeff: It’s good for a solo run. If you treat it like a pure RPG, you’ll have spent about as much time on it as you would on your first playthrough of an ARPG.

    In addition to the 1.0 release, V-Rising is scheduled to appear for the PS5 this year. There is no exact date for this yet, the only thing that is certain is that it should be in 2024.
