If the minimum size remains, designer dresses require according to the organizers, the competition has decided this year to broaden its selection criteria. It is now open to all women over 18, with no age limit, including married women, with or without children. A rule that even applies to transgender women, “from the moment the candidate has a female civil status”, specifies Alexia Laroche-Joubert, new president of the Miss France society.

The rules of the election of Miss France 2023, they do not change compared to previous years. Equally, jurors and viewers will designate the finalists from among fifteen candidates already selected by the organizers. The last qualified misses will be decided 50/50 and in the event of a tie, the public will have the last word.
