Hirokazu Sato, a 34-year-old doctor who secretly videotaped female students in middle and high schools in Osaka and Hyogo prefectures, where he went to do health checkups in Japan, was arrested on charges of violating the “child pornography” law.
According to the information obtained from the police sources, the mobile phone and memory card of Sato, who was detained on suspicion of harassment in an underground bazaar in Osaka last June and was released, were seized for investigation.
In the detailed examination, it was determined that Sato secretly took pictures of 14 female students from different schools that he had undergone medical examination.
The doctor, who was arrested yesterday, admitted the accusations by saying, “I took advantage of my professional position,” in his first statement.
