These supporters showed their support for their political leader. They formed a shield to prevent any possible intervention by the police at the home of the former Prime Minister and warn that they will take the capital if he is arrested.

Investigation

The police announced this weekend to open an investigation against Imran Khan who according to the authorities violated the anti-terrorism law. During a speech on Saturday, the former head of government accused Islamabad’s police chief and a judge of abusing and detaining a member of his party: ” You will need to be ready when we take action against you “, he said then. A threat that is taken seriously by the police.

The political crisis has not abated since Imran Khan was overthrown by a motion of censure on April 10.
