A total of 29.1 percent of county residents voted for the Social Democrats in the parliamentary election, an increase of 1.3 percentage points compared to the election in 2018. This means that the Social Democrats in Jönköping County get another parliamentary mandate. At a press conference on Tuesday, they present which four politicians will represent the party in the Riksdag. It will be Carina Ödebrink, Johanna Haraldsson, Niklas Sigvardsson and Azra Muranovic.
– It was our goal to increase by one mandate, so I think we have done our job. I am very happy with it, says Azra Muranovic (S).
New top names
There will thus be two new social democrats from the county who step into the hot air of the Riksdag. Azra Muranovic (S) has been an opposition councilor in Värnamo until Monday.
– It feels fantastic and very fun. I still think that together in the Social Democrats in the county we have worked to get our fourth mandate, but it is clear that I in particular get to occupy that place feels very honorable to me, she says.
In the clip, Azra Muranovic (S) tells what it will be like to possibly sit in opposition to a potential right-wing government.
