Superstar Tilda Ström has changed the balance of power in Swedish bandy

– Funny with well-known names in the stands, that family and friends are here to watch, say, says Ström to Bandypuls after coming back to Lidköping for the final game in the Swedish Cup.

Ström scored the first six goals for Saik against Skirö in the 8-0 victory.

In the spring SC final against Västerås, Ström scored five goals as Villa won 8-1. Without Ström in the team, Villa lost at home 1-4 against Västerås, who went to their fifth straight final on the women’s side.

Villa have recruited from defunct AIK

To fill the gap after Ström, Villa has recruited the multiple world champion and national team captain Linnéa Larsson from defunct AIK, something that was announced half an hour before today’s match.

Offensive spearhead Ström emphasizes the defensive as a key for Sunday’s final.

– Much will be about defensive play. Today we keep zero and work hard for each other. It will require at least as much hard work tomorrow. We will work incredibly hard and be incredibly difficult to face. That will probably be our key, predicts Ström.

On the men’s side, home team Villa will face Västerås in a SC final replay, where VSK won last spring.

In the semifinals, Villa won against Edsbyn with 8-3 and Västerås SK beat Vetlanda with the same numbers, 8-3.
