Now a go-to when it comes to horror-infused narrative experiences, Supermassive Games is now fully owned by Nordisk Games. For the record, since last year, the Danish group owned 30% of the shares of the studio behind Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures, The Quarry, The Inpatient, or even Killzone HD. Undoubtedly convinced by the latest productions of the house, the president Mikkel Weider and his teams have therefore decided to offer the entire company for an amount that has not filtered through. On the side of Supermassive Games, we are naturally delighted with this new stage, the president and founder Pete Samuels seeing it as a way to accentuate the growth of the studio.
Nordisk Games is not at its first attempt since it already owns Avalanche Studios (Mad Max, Just Cause, Contraband), 40% of the shares of MercurySteam (Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Metroid: Samus Returns, Metroid Dread ), 57% of the shares of Star Stable Entertainment (Star Stable Online), or 43% of the shares of Flashbulb Games (Trailmaker).
