That’s what The Batman is about For two years now, hidden under the mask of Batman, Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson) has been prowling the streets of Gotham City at night to bring down criminals from the shadows. Only a few allies, like police officer Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) and his butler Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis) join him in his fight. But his opponents are overpowering and influential in the city, making curbing corruption difficult.
A killer who uses sadistic tricks to hunt down Gotham’s elite and leaves a trail of corpses in his wake becomes an immediate danger. It remains unclear which larger Pan the unknown is pursuing. Batman must descend into the criminal underworld for his detective investigation, where he meets shady characters like Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), Selina Kyle (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot (Colin Farrell) and Edward Nashton (Paul Dano). The trail also leads the masked man deep into his own family’s past.
