(Finance) – The prime minister Giorgia Meloni will see today a representation of businesses and of bankstogether with CDP and SACEto discuss the chapter Superbonus, after the stop imposed on the subsidy by Minister Giorgetti. A measure that it costs every Italian 2,000 euros – recalled Premer – and which subtracts precious resources from the next budget, in addition to the risk it entails for the State accounts.
“It’s not the first time the government has dealt with this matter. We had to go back to it for try to heal a situation that has gotten out of controlwith results that can unfortunately be predictable and very heavy”, said Meloni in a new episode of his social column “Giorgia’s notes”, adding “the superbonus continues to generate 3 billion credits per month: if we left it until the end of the year, we would not have the money to do the finance. Other than cutting the tax wedge, let’s forget everything”.
“The Superbonus is cost every single Italian around 2,000 euros, even to a newborn or to those who don’t have a home. It wasn’t free, the debtor is the Italian taxpayer”, underlined the head of government, citing some figures recently pitted in a hearing by the general director of finance of the MEF Giovanni Spalletta, according to whom the relief is already cost 110 billioni.e. 37.7 billion more than forecasts, but the figure could rise to 120 billion if you let it operate until the end of the year. Hence the estimate of the average per capita cost of 2,000 euros.
The decree that abolished the transfer of the tax credit – the Premier reiterated – will be submitted to Parliament, which is “sovereign” and “if it deems it appropriate, it can make useful changes”.
Today the government will meet the business world, with ABI, CDP and SACE, to discuss the matter and find a meeting point to reduce the impact on the economy and avoid getting to loggerheads. “We want to push the banks and all the actors we can involve to absorb the credits that are stranded, that nobody wants to take. And we have better defined the responsibility of who has to take that credit”, he explained to the President.
As far as we know they will be two ways are proposed to overcome the impasse and guarantee coverage for households and businesses, allowing the completion of the work started: le securitizations of tax credits or the compensations using F24 to be presented at the bank.
