FC Barcelona beat Chelsea in the semi-finals.
FC Barcelona is playing in the final of the Women’s Champions League for the third season in a row. Barcelona ended in a 1–1 draw against Chelsea in the second leg of the semi-finals and progressed to the final with 2–1 on aggregate.
There were no goals in the first half, but Barcelona did at the beginning of the second half Caroline Hansen scored an important goal for the next place.
The Norwegian dribbled towards the goal and the ball bounced in through a Chelsea player. A few minutes later Guro Reiten scored Chelsea’s equalizer.
The readings remained until the end and thus the Spanish team got a place in the finals. Barcelona’s opponent will be determined on Monday, when Arsenal and Wolfsburg meet in their second leg.
The first game ended with a tickling 2–2.
Last year, Barcelona lost the final match to the French Olympique Lyonnais 1–3. Two years ago, Barcelona celebrated the championship by defeating Chelsea with a dull 4-0 score.
