Super exciting decision in the women’s Tour de France | Sports in a nutshell

Cycling’s women’s Tour of France culminated in an exciting final day.

Polish Katarzyna Niewiadoma drove to the first women’s Tour de France of her career, leaving her racing sister just four seconds behind in the overall race.

Niewiadoma started the last stage with a lead of one minute and 15 seconds. However, the Dutchman Demi Vollering put everything into the game on the last day and managed to take the victory of the approximately 150 km stage. Hardly four seconds separated Vollering from his second consecutive Tour de France victory.

The top three could fit within 10 seconds, when Holland reached third Pauliena Rooijakkerswho was only 6 seconds behind Vollering.

Of the three Finns who were involved Anniina Ahtosalo ranked 81st best. Lotta Henttala was 97 and Wilma Aintila 109:s.
