“At 4pm on Thursday, about ten covid patients came to an already quite full hospital. Today at 11 a.m. we had a total of 25 hospitalized patients with covid,” says Roger Westerlund, decision maker in the hospital’s emergency response organization, in the press release.
The big problem is finding isolated care places. The need is currently greater than the number of places available.
The staff situation is believed to remain over the weekend. According to Region Västernorrland, no similar increase in covid patients has been noticed at the hospitals in Sollefteå and Örnsköldsvik.
