In Diablo 4 you can summon some of the toughest bosses in the game with the right materials to get your hands on some fancy loot. The heaviest of all is the Echo of Duriel. We’ll show you how you can summon him and then defeat him and what you should pay attention to.
This is how you summon Duriel: In order to summon the Echo of Duriel, you first need two items, which you can get from two different bosses:
To be able to summon Grigoire at world level 4, you need 5 Living Steel, which you can get from special chests in the Hellfloods. Look out for red-marked areas on the map, which mark the hellish floods.
To summon Varshan at world level 4, you need 3 of his body parts, which you get randomly from the Tree of Whispers.
Once you have all the items together, go to the “Gapping Gap” dungeon. You can find the dungeon southeast of Gea Kul at the end of the map. Once there, all you have to do is approach the Altar of Summoning and redeem the items. Then comes the boss fight.
Duriel can be a tough beast despite the current strong meta. We’ll show you what you should pay attention to so that you emerge victorious.
Diablo 4: Defeat Duriel – This is what you have to pay attention to
What do I have to pay attention to? First you need a powerful build to have any chance against the poisonous boss. We have created a tier list for you by listing the best builds. The more damage you do, the less time Duriel has to harm you.
Another point is your poison resistance. This should be at least over 70% so that you can start the fight more comfortably. If your resistance is not that high, you can temporarily increase your resistance with a poison resistance potion. Duriel is a poisonous boss and his attacks can quickly affect you if you don’t have enough resistance.
Last but not least, it’s important to pay attention to your attacks and dodge at the right moment. He will happily charge at you, create holes, or rain rubble on you. So that you don’t die because of a few stones, you should pay attention to the warnings and avoid them at the right moment.
What happens to my materials after I die? They’re still wasted, but if you die fighting him, you’ll spawn behind a wall of smoke. You can pass these again and again to compete against Duriel again. So your materials were not sacrificed in vain. The smokescreen will disappear once you have successfully defeated Duriel.
Have you already defeated Duriel and if so, which build did you go into battle with? Let us know your opinion in the comments!
