The Djiboutian candidate Mahamoud Ali Youssouf has just been elected president of the African Union African Commission (AU), in Addis Ababa, this Saturday afternoon February 15. He won on the 7ᵉ round with 33 votes out of 49. The current Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Djiboutian President will succeed the Chadian Moussa Faki Mahamat whose second mandate at the head of the organization ends on March 15.
