Two bodies belonging to children between the ages of five and ten have been found in two suitcases in Auckland, New Zealand. The remains were only found when a family bought a trailer load of items that were being auctioned off, and in them were the suitcases.

The remains, which were found in two similar-sized suitcases, are suspected to have been there for years before being bought by an unsuspecting family at an auction of forgotten items from rented storage. The family is not suspected of being involved, but is “understandably distressed” after the discovery, according to police Tofilau Famanuia Vaaelua.

The children have been deceased and hidden in the bags for years. The police are currently working to find the person or persons behind the murders.
