It is not yet certain whether the case will proceed to the handling of the Sports Ethics Disciplinary Committee administered by the Olympic Committee.

The Finnish Sports Ethics Center has announced its decision, a baseball player Joni from Rytkö about a serious suspected ethical violation.

SUEK announced on Friday that “In the investigation concerning Rytkö, suspected serious ethical violations were investigated, the targets of which were minors”.

The investigation has been submitted to the person who submitted the disciplinary claim, i.e. the deputy judge Juha-Mikko Hämäläinenwhich decides based on the material whether the case will be referred to the Sports Ethics Disciplinary Board managed by the Olympic Committee.

Rytkönen’s club, Joensuun Maila, 30, announced on May 16 that the player is suspected of harassment. JoMa said that Rytkönen has been moved aside from the club’s activities, and his name is currently not in the player introductions on JoMa’s website.

Superpesis also removed Rytkönen from the advertisement associated with the opening of the season in the spring.

Rytkönen has long been among the brightest players in the series. He won the Superpesis progress statistics in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Rytkönen celebrated the Finnish championship in 2020 in Sotkamo’s Jymy shirt.
