“I am very happy with it. First to be nominated and now to win. Really wonderful,” says a happy Abdel. Yesterday he received the prize together with his wife at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. “It feels like a recognition of all the effort we put into our restaurant. A recognition that we as newcomers add something to the fantastic Netherlands. And we couldn’t do that without our Dutch friends who continue to support us. This gives us a lot of positive energy to continue.”
