The UN Security Council met urgently on Tuesday evening April 25 around Sudan, to take stock. Although a 72-hour ceasefire agreement – under pressure from the United States and Saudi Arabia – has allowed some lull, the fighting is still raging, if not intensified, according to the envoy United Nations Special Representative in Sudan, temporarily moved with his teams to Port Sudan. The situation remains fragile, as evacuations continue.
