US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a surprise visit to Iraq after the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus (GCASC).
CONSECUTIVE VISITS
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken continues his surprise visits after his visits to Israel and Jordan as part of his Middle East tour. Blinken, who was expected to visit Turkey, surprisingly came to Iraq after visiting the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus (GCASC). Blinken met with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani in the capital Baghdad.
STEEL VEST DETAIL
It was reported that Blinken, who landed at Baghdad International Airport, wore a steel vest and went to the Green Zone by military helicopter. It was stated that before his meeting with Sudani, Bliken received information from the US ambassador to Iraq about the attacks on military bases where US soldiers are located. Blinken is expected to visit Turkey after Iraq.
Blinken also made a last-minute change in his schedule after Israel and Jordan and met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, the capital of Palestine.
