The case concerns the murders of two drug traffickers in 2018. Last week’s admissions came as a surprise after a long period of denial. The man whom the Spanish police have identified as the leader of the group has an arrest warrant from the Swedish police for drug offences. His sentence in the Spanish trial lands at two years ten months and one day. Since he was already arrested in 2020 and has served that time, he will soon be handed over to Sweden in principle immediately after the verdict.
